Julia started with the Firm in November 2018 as a part-time legal staff and then returned to the London-based Commercial Litigation team on a full-time basis in September 2020, upon completing her one-year masters degree.
After completing her law degree at the University of Plymouth, she held an elected position as Negotiation Officer. Whilst at university, Julia successfully participated in the regional and national legal skills competition, and was the Finalist of the CEDR National Negotiation Competition 2017.
She is a called member of the Bar, having been awarded the Exhibition Scholarship by the Inner Temple, after completing the BPTC at City Law School.
Her legal education further developed with the masters degree from the University of Oxford – the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL), a highly competitive and prestigious postgraduate law programme. She won the Gabriel Moss QC Scholarship by South Square and the Faculty of Law and Hertford College joint scholarship to study on the BCL.
Julia was offered Chevening Scholarship, a highly competitive international scholarship provided by the UK Government, and specialised in the following options on the BCL: Advanced Property and Trusts, Restitution of Unjust Enrichment, International Law of the Sea, and Corporate Tax and Policy.
She has previously volunteered with Citizens Advice, assisting members of the public with filing in benefit entitlement forms, appealing decisions by the Department of Work and Pensions, and advising on housing, employment, family and social care matters.
Furthermore Julia also completed the Erasmus+ work experience at a German commercial law firm, specialising in EU Law, business property law and breaches of the European Convention of Human Rights.
